Keyboard shortcuts and Hotkeys
Swing Catalyst & Motion Catalyst supports a number of keyboard shortcuts.
This article details the keyboard shortcuts.
A keyboard shortcut can be just one keyboard press but also a combination of presses.
In this article shortcuts that are longer than just one keyboard press are strung together using + .
This does not mean you need to press + on the keyboard, but it indicates you need to press both (or more) buttons together.
Playback

Space Toggle play / pause
Right Step one frame forward
Left Step one frame backward
Shift Right Step 5% of the duration forward
Shift Left Step 5% of the duration backward
Up Increase playback speed
Down Decrease playback speed
Markers
The number of markers depends on the activity. Most activities have three or fewer, while a golf swing with detected swing markers has ten. A shortcut for a marker the recording does not have simply does nothing.

| Ctrl + Shift + I | Synchronize on Impact (golf) |
| Ctrl + Shift + T | Synchronize on Top of Swing (golf) |
| Ctrl + B | Lock / unlock markers for editing |
Ctrl + Shift + I and Ctrl + Shift + T find the marker by name rather than by number, so they land on Impact and Top of Swing whether the recording has the three older golf markers or the ten detected swing markers. See Golf swing phase detection .
